Whether in Tuguegarao or Providence, we all operate within the same sphere. There’s nowhere to escape the devastating wrath of a nature that has been continuously abused, exploited, and violated.

It’s time to move beyond an individualistic to a collective mindset, because much more needs to be done globally to calm the storms. The United Nations warns that carbon emissions must be halved by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050. Otherwise, as Secretary General António Guterres cautions, the economic, social, and human disruptions caused by COVID-19 will seem minor in comparison.
